We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tirana at 9 am and drive to Durres, ready for our tour of one of the most important cities in Albania.
After approximately 40 minutes' drive, we'll reach our destination and begin our guided tour. The ancient city of Durrës is at once a relaxed beach town and a historical center, home to the largest amphitheater in the Balkan Peninsula. As we visit its ruins, we'll learn all about its history and hear curious facts about its architecture. After exploring the remains of the Roman amphitheater, we'll visit the Archaeological Museum of Durres, the perfect place to learn more about the origins of the city. After this we will proceed along the Byzantine walls from the 4th and 5th century. We'll get to admire the Venetian Tower of 15th Century.
Free time for lunch.
After lunch, transfer to Skenderbeg Canteen, the most famous brand of which is Cognac Skenderbeg.The products that will be tasted are: WINES (Merlot, Riesling, shesh i Bardhe, Shesh i Zi, Primitivo, Melodi ect),
After tasting, we will return to Tirana. The tour will end at approximately 6 pm.
